In this workshop, we will explore intarsia knitting and learn tips for keeping your yarns organised, maintaining your tension, calculating yarn needs and more. You will get a free pattern to practise your skills to make your own Aggie cushion cover.

Adventurous beginner to intermediate
Materials required
At least 4 different colours of DK yarn (approx. 10-20g of each colour)
A pair of gauge size knitting needles (straight or circular)
A ruler
Pencil/pen

Teacher biography
Sylvia Watts-Cherry is a British designer who loves bold patterns and striking colours. She learned to knit at an early age and is a prolific knitter. Her identity is important to her, and she likes to draw influence from her African heritage and Scottish upbringing in her designs.
As well as self-publishing patterns, Sylvia has patterns published in Vogue Knitting Magazine, The Journal of Scottish Yarns, Laine Magazine, Pompom Quarterly, By Hand Serial, Taproot, Knit Now and other publications. Sylvia’s patterns have also appeared in: Warm Hands, a book collaboration between Jeanette Sloan and Kate Davies, Worsted, a book collated by Aimée Gille of La Bien Aimée, and 52-Weeks of Easy Knits published by Laine Magazine
