Cyanotype is a very old photography technique which needs only UV light and some small objects to create a stunning image. In this workshop Jeni will give you a brief history of the technique, showing examples of their own as inspiration. We will then use familiar objects from the world of fibre to make A4 cyanotype prints that can be taken home as a souvenir of the festival.
Jeni will provide all of the necessary materials but participants are encouraged to bring notions and needles of their own to create a very personal memento. If the weather is sunny we can go outside to take advantage of natural UV light from the sun but Jeni will also bring electric UV lights just in case.
